About
You may be asking yourself “Who are these men that call themselves The Knights of Columbus?”. The Knights of Columbus or “KofC” is a Catholic fraternal mens group that is dedicated to four principals. Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. We hold these four principals very high and support them by supporting our church and community. To support our church and community we have a business meeting on the first Thursday and a planning meeting on the third Thursday of each month. At these meetings we plan events such as Springtime flower sales, blood drives, spelling bees, Tootsie roll drives, Christmas wreath sales, pancake breakfasts, Fish fry’s, basketball tournaments, council picnics, 4th degree happenings and much more.
What’s the 4th degree you ask? Glad you asked! IN the KofC there are 4 degrees to membership. As a new council member you will be a 1st degree Knight and work your way up to become a 4th degree Knight. What’s involved in the degrees? You’ll have to join us and find out but, I promise you’ll have the time of your life getting there, just ask any member of the KofC!
Our council was designated by the Supreme Council as council #4535 The Queen of Angels. We provide support to Transfiguration Parish and other local parishes around the community. When we meet for our regular scheduled meetings we meet at The Old White Church which is located on the property of Transfiguration Parish. Meetings generally start at 8:00 pm and are private, they are not open to the public.
